Since 20 May 2013, a replica of the Levante U.D. Copa España Libre has been on display in the showcases of the Football Museum, located in Las Rozas, after the President of Levante, Quico Catalán, accompanied by the Honorary President, Francisco Fenollosa, the President of the Valencian Football Federation, Vicente Muñoz and a large representation of the Levante Board of Directors, handed over the replica of the Trophy to the President of the RFEF, Ángel María Villar.

The hall where the two European Cups and the World Cup of the Spanish National Team are exhibited was the stage chosen for the presentation of the Copa España Libre, won by Levante F.C. in the 1936-1937 season.

The club’s vice-president, Tomás Pérez, and board members Pedro Catalán, Luis Calero, Ramón Vilar, Víctor Martínez and Javier Martínez, completed the Levante expedition, while on behalf of the Federation, in addition to Villar, the Secretary General of the RFEF, Jorge Pérez Arias, and Eduardo Caturla, President of the National Coaches Committee, also attended.

Quico Catalán thanked the RFEF and its President for welcoming the Copa España Libre to the Museum and expressed that “it is the greatest trophy in our history and it is a gesture on the part of the President of the RFEF that this award is displayed in this Football Museum. At that time the situation in the country was convulsive and this Cup had a special meaning, because the Levante players brought happiness to many people”.
