It was, without a doubt, one of the most striking aspects of the emotional exhibition “DE GRANOTES, GATS I PALMERES. ELS ORÍGENS DEL LEVANTE U.D.”. The graphics, fine and delicate, let us glimpse between the walls of the exhibition Hall X of the Museu Etnològic de València “L’ Etno” a series of audio-visuals that gathered different themes, all of them with their own interests for the visitors.
One of them, perhaps the one that attracted the most attention, was to show a succession of images mounted on an audiovisual that showed different Levantine teams. Perhaps, the position was not trivial. It occupied a privileged spatial situation, especially if we take into account that it was the first of the projects shown in the logical order of the direction of the visit. Possibly, the use of the different chromatisms used to identify the different templates could have attracted the attention of the spectators, who usually remained attentively astonished before the succession of photographs offered by the short film. Indeed, its privileged position offered it an advantageous primacy that made it all the more interesting. Located in the first room, the one that allowed the divergences between two different clubs to be explained, it served to construct an evolutionary vision of the use of the sports kits used by Gimnástico F.C. and Levante F.C. from the dawn of the 1920s until the merger in 1939, when both entities ended up converging and, therefore, using a single kit.
This evolutionary process was delimited by the photograph of the starting eleven that won promotion in the 1962-63 season in the second leg of the promotion play-off against Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña.
Now, this video is offered to all Levante supporters and the general public through the Virtual Museum, with the intention of thanking all those collaborators of the Museum, the Historical Heritage Area of Levante U.D. and the exhibition “De Granotes, Gats i Palmeres. Els Orígens del Levante U.D.” since, without their contributions, this project would not have been possible.
